- Welcome to Cecile Reniche-Smith and Crista Borras. On behalf of the Board and RUSA generally, Lois Springsteen welcomed Cecil Reniche-Smith as a newly-elected member of RUSA's Board of Directors, and she likewise extended a welcome to Crista Borras, newly-appointed as RUSA's Permanents Director. Both volunteers were to begin service in their new positions as of January 1, 2010.
- Rhode Island Sales Tax. Based on research and a recommendation from attorney Tim Sullivan, the Board voted to end the sale of all souvenir store items to RBAs for resale. The decision was made in order to avoid "online retailer" sales tax entanglement in the various states.
- PBP 2011 Communications and Planning. In response to an awards ceremony invitation from the Audax Club Parisien, the Board requested that Jennifer Wise attend the ceremony on behalf of RUSA. The Board prepared to respond to any new information on PBP quota management and registration procedures that might become available at the January 2010 ACP ceremony and meeting.
- Committee Reports. The Board received committee reports from Rules Committee Chair John Lee Ellis, Membership and Website Committee Chair Don Hamilton, Treasurer Eric Vigoren, Newsletter Committee Chair Mike Dayton, Permanents Committee Chair Edward Robinson, and Souvenirs Committee Chair Jennifer Wise. John Lee also provided an update to the Board in his role as RBA Liaison.
- Recognition of Don Hamilton. On behalf of RUSA, the Board thanked Don for his esteemed service as a Board Member, and it expressed RUSA's appreciation that he would remain in a volunteer role as head of the Membership Committee.
